Automated Fragment-Library Preparation

The SPRIworks Fragment Library System II automates the preparation of fragment libraries for the Roche GS FLX DNA sequencer. It can prepare up to 10 DNA libraries in 3.5 hours with good reproducibility and consistency. The system utilizes Solid Phase Reversible Immobilization (SPRI) paramagnetic bead-based technology. By using SPRI chemistry along with automation, SPRIworks System II eliminates manual library construction. SPRIworks Fragment Library Systems I and II are based on the same benchtop platform. By using cartridges and method cards specific to each sequencing system, fragment libraries can be prepared for both the GS FLX and the Illumina GA sequencers on a single instrument.
