Natural products continue to play an important role in the discovery of novel bioactives and isolating novelties, and understanding and engineering the biosynthesis of complex natural products are important directions in natural products research. Also, the development of methods in organic synthesis is continually stimulated by the challenge to construct complex natural product skeletons and achieving total syntheses. This conference will focus on modern aspects of the synthesis and biosynthesis of natural products. This meeting develops from two previous and highly successful conferences in this series. Plenary and Invited lectures from distinguished investigators are key features of the conference. These lecturers have been carefully chosen to highlight new developments in the field of natural products research. Slots will remain available for presentations from suitable abstracts, and delegates who what to present in poster format are most welcome. The participation of younger scientists is particularly encouraged and there will be ample opportunity for informal discussions in an attractive and productive environment.
